“Once the travel bug bites there is no known antidote, and I know that I shall be happily infected until the end of my life” – Michael Palin

I was bitten by the travelbug when I had my major heartbreak in 2013 which led me to take my first solo flight. I went to a deserted island in Visayas to clear up my minds and shortly escape from the pain of rejection. It was a one whole week of adventure; exploring unspoiled beaches and chasing Waterfalls. Yes, it helped me for awhile but it didnt completely let the pain go away. When i came back, I am still the same broken-hearted person. Though one thing is for sure, that pain brought me to places I’d never thought I would ever be at. It’s true, when people get hurt, it changes them.

Through travel, I’ve learnt plenty of life skills whilst on the road. I’ve learnt that I’m a lot more capable than I thought. I’ve navigated countries where I don’t speak the local language, dealt with creepy people responsibly, and learnt a lot more than any classroom could ever teach me.

Why do you blog?

I am a man who enjoys the open road and wants to encourage others to take the leap of faith; explore and travel the world with an open heart. It offers you the chance to make a ‘journey of a lifetime’. My writing is often a collection of my random thoughts, adventures and misadventures around the world.

My favorite thing is to go somewhere I’ve never been – Diane Arbus

I still have a lot of roadways to walk on, mountains to conquer, and lessons to learn. Life is an adventure; I want to experience it to the fullest.
