Life is only as good as the memories we make.

Have you always dreamed of seeing a Grecian architecture? Experience Parthenon, a former temple on the Athenian Acropolis, Greece, dedicated to the goddess Athena without costing you an arm and a leg?

Well, wait no more! There is a piece of Paradise near Metro Manila.

Fortune Island is a 27-hectare land lying 14 kilometers from the shores of Nasugbu, Batangas. It is considered to be a desert island, with architecture redolent of the Parthenon in Ancient Greece has captured the imagination of many. Excite your visual palate with its pristine beach, cream to white sand and beautiful deep turquoise water.

The Island used to be an exclusive luxury resort owned by a prominent politician in Batangas. It features a salt water swimming pool, club house, cabana, basketball court, helipad, desalination for fresh water consumption and small serpentarium , a reptile zoo for snakes. According to the local, it was abandoned due to lack of a good source of fresh water. Now, the island is being managed by the second lessor, a group Korean National Businessmen.

I wouldn’t have been able to experience its beauty without my friend Aimee, a Hiker I met when I visited Mount Pulag. She invited me to a perfect budget summer getaway. The tour was arranged by one of her friends. We met in Centris and drove all the way to Nasugbu. From there, Travel time is around an hour going to the island.

Surely you will enjoy a total retreat far from the civilization. There is no water and electricity in the island, and some amenities and parts of the island shore are not well conserved. But worry not, as you will never run out of things to do for a day in the island. Aside from a quick dip, you can also do hiking to the lighthouse and cliff diving.

it is a great spot for photoshoot.
